Caring for Cancer Patient

This morning, I read the newspaper article under Lifestyle of this student who battle her life with stage 4th Cancer, which I have, be nursing cancer patient before. Some of them didn’t want to battle against it but give up their hope. Guess what I tear off and remind myself of caring of cancer patient. For this time I hear and read not many patient are having the mentally, for example with the support of her friend and school by raise funding for her medical fee, it make patient sprite high and will carry on in her life that what she have. It make very touch and a learning experience, for myself as a nurse who felt this way, tear down from my side of the eye and pray for her in good health. And hearing and reading, I will keep this and share the experience to other nurse who are nursing cancer patient.

A word of share:
Even patient say that he/she has no support or no one beside them before they leave, it not true my dear patient, we are here and beside you daily, said the nurse. “WHO ARE THEY”, the nurses you see us daily, helping you up on the wheelchair, walk with you to the toilet and many other thing. And the doctor who sees you 3 times a day and even before they go back home. (holding the patient's hand, seat beside them and last their last word)

I don’t know how much more time and day I am gone. But my hope to see my children before I take my leave. Help me to tell my children that they should not give up anything but carry on. No matter what happen, just remember their family is important. Nothing is more to care but the family. Promise me to take them and that will be enough for my last hope. Now I can rest for a while.

As Nurse hear these natural tear and stay beside the patient before patient took the final move. A group of nurse enters and screens the bed and no resuscitation was giving because the case note wrote DO NOT RESUCITATION (DNR). Doctor came and told the nurse to inform the relatives.

Nurse gives the patient a care and say, “wherever you are your children need you, you also give them your sprite support and may you also rest in peace”. Take care.

It difficult to know what they want, but with your touch with them it more than enough of their faithful day. Keep them accompany and silence with one soul.

So many things happen the last few days in medical center while I was on call duty. Told I received 3 resuscitation cases. The first case I received was epilepsy. A patient collapses in the toilet and throw out fit. Next was anaphylactic shock case, which may lead to death case. Out of 3 had anaphylactic shock, 1 will survive only. I pray for him to survive as traveling to hospital in an emergency speed. MO sir was with him and stands by for advance care. My pray answer the called to me and he survived, he was admitted to the ward. Last case, a female trainee officer having heat exhaustion at night. What an exhaustion duty?

Sometime people wont know your care is beside them. Only one thing will know is your prayer lighting to the needs. Lighting the path to needs to the right route of healing.
